Your cousin is going to be thrilled! I am intrigued by how you ran the cables of quilting up the diagonal. I would not have thought to do that. Thank you for the inspiration!

once again, thank you all for looking and being so complementary. my local quily shop gets credit for the lovely quilting.
i had them do 4 lap size & they furnished batting for 2. they charged me $64.00 total. not bad i thought. |
Great job!
|
I just love those braids!! You do great work! :D
$64 for 4 laps quilts???? That's an amazing price!! My quilters have a $40 minimum for any piece--so it would have been a min of $160 for me. |
That is so nice - love braids.
|
That's beautiful. I've always wanted to make one of those. Trying to find an EASY pattern. :-)
|
Very nice.

hi barn, i am always amazed at the prices at my little quilt shop. it is a mother and daughter who love their art. they get quilts from all over the country to quilt for people. it is a truly amazing set up. tiny building behind the mom's farm house, which is now in town since the town grew out and around the farm. they are so sweet and if i am in a time crunch as i was with these quilts, they always seem able to accomodate me.
merry christmas. marie |
I haven't read all the replies but there is a lovely book out for french braiding.... "french braid quilts" by jane hardy miller with arlene netton..... I just love it...
