Wow!! Another beautiful quilt from your hands. What a lucky cousin of yours, to have you to sew for her. I am sure you enjoyed every stitch.

Thanks for sharing,
Cheryl

That is really pretty! I hadn't thought about running the cable on a diagonal for the quilting like that. It really looks good!

Nice!!! I'm sure the grandkids will love them.

Your cousin is going to be thrilled! I am intrigued by how you ran the cables of quilting up the diagonal. I would not have thought to do that. Thank you for the inspiration!

once again, thank you all for looking and being so complementary. my local quily shop gets credit for the lovely quilting.
i had them do 4 lap size & they furnished batting for 2. they charged me $64.00 total. not bad i thought.

sewnsewer2 12-20-2008 12:19 PM

Great job!

barnbum 12-20-2008 07:39 PM

I just love those braids!! You do great work! :D

$64 for 4 laps quilts???? That's an amazing price!! My quilters have a $40 minimum for any piece--so it would have been a min of $160 for me.

beachlady 12-20-2008 07:42 PM

That is so nice - love braids.

That's beautiful. I've always wanted to make one of those. Trying to find an EASY pattern. :-)

hi barn, i am always amazed at the prices at my little quilt shop. it is a mother and daughter who love their art. they get quilts from all over the country to quilt for people. it is a truly amazing set up. tiny building behind the mom's farm house, which is now in town since the town grew out and around the farm. they are so sweet and if i am in a time crunch as i was with these quilts, they always seem able to accomodate me.
merry christmas.
