Love it! What a great idea to use the french braid design for a valance!

WOW. Love your valance. What a neat idea.

I am probably saying what everyone else has mentioned but that is simply gorgeous and with sun shining through, does look like stained glass. I do second the muslin backing though.

I love all your bright colors. I agree that you should line them so the sun doesn't fade them. I love the braid---I would never have thought of using that design, but the effect is stunning! I love it!

They make a product that adheres to the glass that prevents the UV rays from coming through the glass. It prevents fading. That will help with your beautiful work from being damaged by the sun.

Absolutely stunning! I love French Braids, and hadn't thought of that application...very unique.

Doris,
How Beautiful! I really want to try a french braid. Never thought about doing a stained glass color combo. I love it!
Some one had posted a bed quilt too.
How do you come up with color combo choices? I have a hard time picking out fabrics.
Having just recently moved, I could do that in my bedroom.
Thanks for sharing.

Great idea. I think I would put some backing on it however so it wouldn't fade. After all that work you want it to last a long time.
