I saw this quilt on the QB & fell in love with it. Now I can't wait to get it together & wash it so the roses will get fluffy. This wasn't suppose to be a big quilt but so far it does cover the top of my king size bed. Still have a couple borders to add & I will be finished. I'm wanting to put a scalloped border on but ran short on fabric so I ran by the quilt shop & they were out of it! I talked to the owner because I noticed the beginner's class project has some of the pink fabric I need in it & asked her if she'd ask the instructor if she has any of the pink fabric left in her stash. I'm still waiting with my fingers crossed

Pretty.

You could also post an ISO ad here or on missingfabrics.com for the fabric.

Thanks. If I don't hear from the quilt shop I may have to do that. There is no name on the salvage what so ever so I would have to find out from the quilt shop who it was made by.

Love the quilt. What is the name of the pattern?

Really pretty! I saw this made up in a LQS and it is very pretty! Good for you, for making a KING SIZE quilt! I've made ONE. lol
I love them and it looks gorgeous on my daughter's bed, but the quilting was a bear on my machine. I quilted in the ditch, on a grid pattern, then came back and hand quilted around each star in it. I guess I should put up a pic, I don't have any up... Anyways, I NEED to make a king size for our bed, this is a good one. Great work!

It called the French Rose. I'm not sure who made it but I'd saw several on here & just had to try it myself. If i do another one, I am going to make the center blocks a little larger & the lattice a little smaller. Brain fart!

This is one I've always meant to make someday. I love the way the roses get all soft and fluffy after you wash it! Yours is beautiful!

Heather French designed this pattern and I think she is the same one who was a Beauty Queen and this is her only pattern, I believe. There are a few online shops that carry it..I just recently bought one and can't wait to try it. Haven't decided on fabric for it yet. I LUV it!!
One lady at a QS in Memphis had made one using Moda flannel plaids and said it was at home on her bed and she just was thrilled with how it turned out. Would have loved to have seen it.

when you get it all done and washed, please post another pic, I can't wait to see the roses all fluffy. I made a baby quilt with this technique and it turned out cute.
