...this is what I tried with this one and I must say I think it looks quite neat!!! I prefer to make these boxes with french seams and it was just another option. It's to be a little Easter Bunny for my Breast Cancer Care Nurse Nancy :)
Thanks for looking

So cute! Love the fabrics

PenniF 03-23-2015 06:00 PM

Very cute...love your fabric choice. And i'm with you. I did a few at Christmas time and used the French seam method. It took longer of course, but i did really like the look of the finished product so much better.

Also wishing you GOOD HEALTH in 2015 !!!

Gee Maryellen, they are soooo easy and quickly made, with all the necessary material cut, takes about an hour to make one!!! :) Have you got the right pattern??? Ohhh I'm sure you're only feeling green because spring is coming over where you live!!! :) :) :)

A very clever gift.

lawsonmugs 03-25-2015 07:07 AM

What pattern did you use for the French seams? It's a pretty basket.

I used 12 1/2" and did the sides 3" although normally I would make the sides only 2 1/2" :)

mjhaess 03-27-2015 01:00 PM

Great gift...Love it..

Ada Shiela 03-30-2015 01:37 PM

French seams make garments and boxes much sturdier - see how well the basket stands up! It's a lovely idea and good luck with the recovery process.

lynnie 03-30-2015 03:15 PM

came back to see it again. it inspired me to put my son's (25yo)candy in a box like yours. great idea.
