friends from my checkered past
 

[ATTACH=CONFIG]520231[/ATTACH]WordPaintervs asked for some girl themed doll quilts to send with her "dolls for very sick kids". I started making this SunBonnet Sue and as I was looking through my scraps i decided to make all the dresses of checks thereby coming up with the name " Friends From My Checkered Past". I was thinking I should do one with all black dresses with white hats and sleeves and call it "Friends From My Sheltered Past"
I also did 2 other quilts--the one on Left is a Drunkards Path and the one on right is called "Sugar Bowl" after the small combination snack/malt shop that was next door to my high school. the store also carried a small line of school supplies so the school kids could replenish their supplies if need be.
