Front / Back and Starch

The top of my next quilt ... and this is why I love starch so much when I am doing piecing like this ... the back looks as nice as the front!

Lovely Quilt.

Striking pattern. My suspicion is you are a very precise piecer. The corners match perfectly. The secret is starch, starch, starch. I start out with good intentions but somehow get sloppy by the time I'm done. Thanks for the reminder. Looking forward to seeing this one completed.

Oh, it's perfect!

Your quilt looks great front and back!

Pretty top and when piecing with white, it looks nicer if the back is neat and tidy, well done!

TAMARATJO 01-26-2019 06:14 PM

Wow! Very impressive! Maybe I need to start using starch!

Looks good. I need to starch more so I don’t have threads on the back.

JJBlaine 01-27-2019 01:12 AM

Your quilt is so pretty!

That’s a great looking quilt...nice work! I do use starch on blocks that have a lot of pieces and seams...it sure does keep things tidy looking.

Yes, takes a lot of problems out of our quilting. I starch heavily if possible. Just went thru 2 gallons of the stuff this week getting 3 projects ready for the quilt retreat in March. Now to get all the cutting of strips done.

I use “Magic Sizing” and I love it! I think it beats Best Press hands down!

Beautiful top and the back is as nice. Love the pattern and fabrics you are using. I do use starch a lot too. Please share a picture when you finish. Would love to see it

The back of your quilt is as pretty as the front....actually it is so beautifully put together!

MarionsQuilts 01-27-2019 11:46 AM

I use easy on - i buy it at the grocery store ... a can lasts about 7-8 quilts ... and it's only $6 LOL ...

BrendaK 01-27-2019 06:01 PM

Love the pattern. I am sure that your work would look as good even if you didn't use starch. BrendaK

What pattern did you use for this quilt. I need to make a memory quilt for someone and thought this pattern would be great. Thanks in advance.

MarionsQuilts 01-28-2019 09:44 AM

There is no pattern name that I know! I'm sure there is one out there! I saw this in pinterest and just drew it out on graph paper!
