My friends, Linda & Dave, have started a foundation in memory of their son, promoting mental health awareness. In May there will be the first annual Jason Tennies Memorial Walk for Mental Health, and my friend Sara & I are making a quilt that will be raffled off at the walk. Since Jason was a musician, I designed a quilt with his favorite colors that will have a guitar appliqued in the center.
I thought you might like to see our process from the very beginning. This is my original sketch for the quilt And now some colors :D Sara made Nine-Patches and I cut them apart! These will make the inner border around the guitar Then sewed them back together again |
I love the colors. That will be a really nice quilt!! I hope is raises lots of money!
