yeah...you gotta laugh about the little oops like that. I do love your quilt and I bet you could put it on etsy or ebay and find a home for it and some jingle for your pocket real quick! =)

That's a funny story! Glad you can "fix" the quilt before you give it to her!

That's a great story! The quilt is really a happy one!

Oh no!!! The quilt is very beautiful! I'm sure there's an Emma out there who will really love it - LOL.

I would tell you that is what my baby's name is going to be, but.......guess not. I'm almost 71 and that wouldn't work out would it? But Emma, I tried. LOL

Very pretty quilt. My dil just had their second baby yesterday.....but she's Sophie. Maybe you could just remove the name and donate it to a shelter, hospital, etc.
Another thought, from a bad experience when I did something like this. Of course I tried fixing it and made a real mess taking out the embroidery. Finally I appliqued 4 hearts each with a letter from LOVE in the place where the name had been. Thank goodness that covered it and no one was the wiser. |
That is so funny. I'm glad the mom wasn't there and you can fix it.
