Game of Memory

1 Attachment(s)
Every so often I have a "light bulb" moment during the night and a couple of weeks ago I had one to help use up all those scraps and novelty fabrics that are always lying around my sewing room and I came up with the idea of a fabric version of the game of Memory.

My little granddaughter is a bit too young to play Memory at the moment but she can use the "cards" to identify objects and colours.

Thank you for looking.

P.S. The scrap and novelty pile have not diminished.

Terrific idea! My 2 DGD's love playing Memory. Will have to keep this in mind!

Neat! my little 3 yr old neighbors loves this also and we play often. Can you tell me more about how you did the "cards"? I gather there would be two of each one.....just use one fab for the back, sew together and turn right side out, right? Sorry to sound so dumb!

Those are too cute, working on an I Spy quilt for my almost one year old DGD.

I'm right there with Pollytink..........could you explain further.......is there batten or pellon in the middle? These would be great little packs for Christmas charity gifts.

This is a great idea also for preschool etc.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my version of the game of Memory.

For those asking I used 3 layers in each "card". Novelty fabric, I used flannel as the wadding and used the same backing on all of them. I used each novelty fabric twice.

Super fabric for a kids quilt very smart idea.

These are so cute. I make I Spy quilts with pairs so the kids who get them can locate "matching" pairs of objects. Same sort of idea, but in quilt form.

A really fun idea. My granddaughter always beats me at this game.
