Lorriane, Scout is my own "in-house" quilt inspector. She will willingly poses for any photo and is also the star in my avitar.

I have been watching oh so many posts of your garage sale finds and I never seem to find any thing much when I stop at sales until ....... NOW! I stopped at a sale in my own neighborhood and saw a box of fabric. I just said, "What would you take for this box of fabric?" Response, $10. Sold! I got more than 50 yards of fabric with only one piece not usable for a quilt. Most cuts are 1.5 - 3 yards each! The inspector approves of the clean and pressed additions to her future quilt resting spots.
Thanks every one for help with the photo resizing. I had to go web-small to get this to work so.... Here is my first photo in a LONG time. |
That's a good find and nice to see the kitty approves too.

Wish I were going to a garage sale, but with 4 inches of snow that dropped last night, I don't think I could find one. Good for you!

wow, I see some chicken scratch material Barb

I LOVE a great garage sale/estate sale/auction find! I frequently sell the stuff I find, but I'm testing some patterns now, so it's nice to have the very inexpensive finds to experiment with!
We had a LQS when I lived in Las Vegas that would take fabric scraps (or unwanted fabric) and use it to stuff dog beds for the shelters too. Since I moved, I'm just taking what I won't use to Goodwill. Your inspector is adorable too! I have one like that, not so much white, but 4 white paws! |
Looks like you got some great plaids. At least you did not give up.
|
Thats a real haul. I love the kitty cat too, looks like my moms cat smokey did. I wish we stopped at more yard sales.... LOL but my husband knows better :)
|
Nice treasures...
|
Boy - I'm coming to your neighborhood to shop.............................
|
Lucky gal to find such nice fabrics! Enjoy sewing with them and yes be smug when you tell people how you save a bundle on the materials....LOL!
