Garage Sale Goodies!

2 Attachment(s)
DH & I took a ride this morning to check out some local garage sales. The very first one produced these pieces of good quality fabrics. Each piece in the grouping is a minimum of 1 yard, with two of them being 1 -1/3 yards. The larger pink and green floral piece is nearly 3 1/2 yards. All told...about 16 yards, for $8. I wasn't unhappy with the price because it's all good quality stuff, and being their first sale of the day, sometimes you just have to pay what they want and be happy. I'm happy. :D

I love it when we get a bargin and you certainly did with this haul. Now...we will be waiting to see what you are going to create with it all. Happy designing with your wonderful find.

There aren't many fabric sales in our area.. I was on Craigs list, and one ad was all about FABRIC FABRIC FABRIC.. I can't imagine how much they have.. I'm so excited.. It starts at 10:00.. Hope I do as well as you did, but I doubt it.. What's weird is that it is an pretty affluent area of our island..

Great find and I recognize the tan fabric with the little birdhouses and crows from my stash too.

UPDATE:

I've gotten all this fabric washed and dried, ready to be folded onto comic book boards and put into my stash. The largest pink/green floral piece seemed quite a bit larger than the 3 yards that was marked on it. It turned out to be SIX 1/3 yards, and after re-measuring all of the pieces I have a grand total of TWENTY yards of fabric. Now I'm even happier than before and have paid only 40 cents per yard for this deal! I REALLY need to get off this computer and start sewing! lol
