I found one this past week-end too. Think mine is a little newer model but still very old. Have tried mine out and it sew like a dream. Hope to post a picture later of her. Congrats on your find.

You are going to LOVE her! I have one in a turquoise color. The dial on the base toward the right side will lower and raise the feed dogs in 3 positions! This is a real workhorse of a machine. Sews some pretty heavy duty stuff. Hope you can get it working. It would be worth fixing if need be.

Unbelieveable what people throw out!! Younger people's just don't know the value of such items. I can usually tell by what is being thrown out how these items are valued, most youngsters (i'll call them) just can't see that if it is not electronic, it has no use.

Nice find! Glad to see that beauty got a new home and was kept out of a landfill. How could anyone just toss something like that?

Wow! Very nice. My mother used to collect from trashpiles. She had a knack for always finding the good stuff. I didn't inherit that! Maybe you're her daughter too? lolol

This looks like a Singer 15 or a 15- 91 model.
A 15-91 will thread right to left like a featherweight. Manuls are available free on line look around. The patent for the 15 was given to Japan by the US after WWII to help rebuild the economy so the manuals will cover it |
