I asked about this pattern after seeing it done in applique in Lancaster, PA. I found a source for the top and back and with a friend's help, put it together. Quilting has begun on this long-term project!

Sorry. I am not sure I understand. You saw an applique quilt and adapted the pattern to make a whole clothe quilt? I goggled Garden Bouquet but it did not come up. More info please. Quilt is lovely. Was it difficult to adapt the pattern ? How did you do it? Thanks for your help.

What a labor of love!

Looks great - are you handquilting? If so, do you use a hoop or just puddle it in your lap?

That is really looking lovely. We are doing a couple of whole cloth quilts at a hand quilting group I belong to. So pretty!

That's a preprinted whole cloth quilt top isn't it? It's beautiful and it's going to be a stunning quilt!

Merrylin 11-20-2015 07:45 PM

It will be stunning. So beautiful.

that is just so beautiful. wonderful job

I ordered the top and backing from the Benartex website. I'm sure, with enough skill, I could have used it for applique but a friend has this done "just" with quilting and when I saw hers, I preferred it.

michelled 11-21-2015 03:57 AM

I use a hoop. It works better for me to make sure I keep the backing smooth.

Spectacular! I am very enamored with whole cloth quilts and have one on my to do list. I like the idea of adapting an applique pattern because there are so many beautiful ones. Thank you for sharing your quilt and your ideas.
