Garden Maze Wall Hanging

2 Attachment(s)
I just finished a Garden Maze wall hanging.

I also am showing a picture of the back. I hung it using a yard stick cut to size with a picture hanger attached. Instead of one sleeve, I created two sleeves with a gap for the picture hanger. Everyone, but me, probably know how to do this but I just learned it from someone at my quilting guild and thought it was such a nifty idea.

I hadn't seen a "hanger" done like that before. Good idea. Thanks for sharing.

What a pretty quilt you've made! And the hanger looks like it works great.

Love your wall hanging, and your idea for hanging it. I've never seen this done before. Thanks for the idea.

Pretty, love the 'hanger'. Question ~ did you use three hangers? Each end and one middle?

jaciqltznok 03-29-2012 06:39 AM

That is so beautiful, you do such good work. Thank you for showing the back, I had never seen one like it and was looking for a way to hang one I am making for my DGD.

I just used one hanger in the middle... just like you would a picture. So you only need one nail in the wall. Makes it so simple to hang up. Think I'll do some other wall hangings.

Very nice wallhanging and I love how you did the hanger. What a clever idea. Great Job!

stichinluvr 03-29-2012 01:38 PM

That's a really nice wall hanging. I've done my sleeves like that for years because I always got tired of figuring out how to hang them. I've also been known to tie a string around the "rod" if I used a dowel or somehting that would fit right.

Really pretty wall hanging! :)

Beautiful wall hanging and great Ideal on hanging it. I have never seen this Ideal and I've been quilting for about 25 yrs or so.

I love the idea of using the yardstick. I would love to see the front of the quilt. When I make a wall hanging, I am going to put a sleeve at the bottom too b/c the only other wall hanging I did, the bottom doesn't lay flat.

Great quilt and thanks for the hanging idea!
