Getting my geek on!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to San Diego Comic-Con this year, and made a couple things for it. My superhero quilt came together super fast, and was so much fun. I pieced the back together with left-overs, and it kept me warm during the hours spent waiting in lines. I used the Patio pattern, from Happy Zombie. Then I made a Star Wars cross-body bag (my own design), and the bottom fabric is glow-in-the-dark. I had many people stop me and ask me where I bought my bag, haha. The Big Bang Theory bag is made out of one of the souvenir bags that were handed out a couple years ago.

Comic-Con was a blast, and I hope to go again next year! Thanks for looking, and have a beautiful day.

When I first came to the picture of you 'wearing' the bag I thought it was your skirt. You can plan that for next time. Looks like you had lots of fun.

Great projects and glad you had a good time. It sure was a warm week this year. Next year will you be making a costume?

All projects are super cool! Love the Star Wars bag especially! We are a huge geek family.... My son wants to work on the large hadron collider, so of course BBT is almost a daily topic of discussion in our house. And when he moved rooms, he *had* to have a white board. LOL He relates more with Leonard, but man, sometimes he really reminds me of Sheldon!!!!

It wasn't too bad. I also used it as a pillow when I had to spend hours sitting on the floor, however, it was the first thing that got de-germed as soon as I got home.

Those are great. I'm working on a Mario and Linc 8 bit design to use for a quilt. My oldest and I went to Dragon Con year before last and had a blast. In Costume (at my age!!) Was alot of fun. Not going this year. He is leaving for Korea the first part of September or October to teach English for a year. He decided this weekend that he wants a wall hanging to take with him. A Mariners Compass. So I guess I will be busy.

How very nice, and it's always fun to share those nerdy experiences with a child. My youngest came with me to WonderCon this year. Good luck to your son going abroad!
