GFG, or, Wounded Knee
1 Attachment(s)
I fell last March, and skinned my knee. Well, the worst happened, an abscess formed, requiring surgery. It just so happened that I had bought a GFG kit, all precut pieces a couple of weeks before the accident. So this is what I worked on while I sat with my leg elevated for weeks on end. Mind you, it wasn't finished by the time my knee was well. All that hand stitching takes time. This is the (unquilted) finished quilt top. Now to find an appropriate backing fabric. :)

Very pretty!! It's nice that something good came out of your misfortune!

Beautiful - something good out of something bad. Glad to hear you are recovered.

Wow!!! I admire your determination to work on a project, even though you are injured/sick and trying to get well. But to top it off.....it is a GFG!!! Your quilt top is amazing. Have you decided on the quilting....hand or machine?

That is lovely and I can appreciate all the time you put in on sewing it. Glad your knee is better. You should put this story down or a condensed version of it when you make your quilt label.
