My guild has a challenge to make a quilt with zoo animals on it this year. Here is my entry:

I'm also going to enter it into the Doll Quilt category in the State Fair of Virginia this Fall. I love it when I can enter a quilt more than once.

The border was made with 36 flying geese blocks that measure 1" x 2" and were sewn together on the 1" ends instead of the 2" sides. The colorful fabric for this came from the 2.5" Candy Birthday Swap. The new start for that swap is coming up in a few weeks if you are interested in joining.
