Terrific idea and a fantastic job done by a non sewer. You've got a great friend there, a keeper to be sure. Lucky you, lucky her!

Ann912 07-14-2011 07:31 AM

Really cute. Such a nice thing to do.

JudieRQuilting 07-14-2011 07:56 AM

Great idea!

alapetitechaise 07-14-2011 11:14 AM

I really like this, I am recovering from foot surgery. There were several weeks where I was confined to a chair and I had trouble keeping everything in place. This is so great for so many reasons.

Rumbols 07-14-2011 11:18 AM

Debbie B 07-14-2011 12:45 PM

Tell your friend that I think it's so cute and useful. Now she can start that quilt!

Kimkankwilt 07-14-2011 01:20 PM

For somebody who doesn't sew at all, she did a wonderful job. I really think this would sell.

stitchofclass2 07-14-2011 01:39 PM

How wonderful of your BFF. It is one thing to make projects when you are a "veteran" sewer but to do this for someone you care about when it is not your "usual" field is absolutely amazing. A treasure to keep forever. Yolanda Wood River

Think you could get the pattern from her? I'd love to make one for my Mom's wheelchair.

bdship 07-14-2011 02:16 PM

I really love it ! I'm sure it would be a great seller.

charismah 07-14-2011 02:34 PM

I've been reading every post to see if someone would ask this question. I'm anxious to hear the answer too. I know several people in nursing homes that I would love to make one for. Of course, if you would rather make them and sell them, I would be happy to buy them too. It is just such a good idea.

i did mine like this.. because dd always has a book or magazine with her for in between games..

of course mine is no where as pretty as the one displayed here but I was playing.. lol

i made the flap wider so if she wants to take it off the arm she can fold it back over and everything inside stays private

What a wonderful friend, to see a need, recall it a year later, and proceed to fill that need and present it to you on your anniversary - especially in a method she's not familiar with.

Alaska 07-17-2011 11:53 AM

Lovely! What a greet idea, I could use one of these while I am sitting in my lawn chair in the back yard!

DebbieJJ 07-18-2011 06:42 AM

Is this her own original idea? Great job!
