Oh, yours is lovely. I have this pattern and have to do it now, what things would you do different?

Really like the pattern. You at the salon? Just happen to see the chair in the background! :)

Whenever I make a pattern, I always make notes to myself as I go of any changes I would consider next time around. After I have finished the project, I clean up those notes and re-write them onto a sticky which I put on the front page of the pattern.
First - I would cut a larger square to make the bias binding, because you waste a strip that's not the right width. I have to figure out what extra size I need.
I found I did need the 2 1/4 inch width to make it around all the corners!
I would not put the three card slots in the flap - if you fill those slots, it makes the flap portion quite heavy and bulky. It is nice to have the zip pocket on there though.
I would not likely do the clear pockets again, but I can see where there would be times it would be handy (like a quilt show - to keep your pass on display).
I would put a second zipper pocket on the front (in place of the clear pocket).
I would put a slip pocket on the inside, maybe one on both front and back pieces.
I think I would change how the strap fastens on, and also the length of the strap. I am not someone who would wear it cross body, which is one of the options suggested.
I wouldn't bother with the small narrow strips to make zipper pulls - I don't usually bother with them on a small bag.
That's the beauty of making your own stuff - customization!!!!
