After I quilted it, one can hardly tell that was a problem. I'm glad I didn't throw it away. ... Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do. |
Wonderful! I love the back too! You do such beautiful quilting.

I love the look of different shades with the Satin! It adds to the movement. The quilting is to die for! If you don't win first place, I want to see the one that does!

Beautiful barn quilt, I really like the satin.

I will admit when I looked at first picture I didn’t like it (sorry). I’m glad I looked at the rest because they changed my thinking. The quilting really did wonders, I can hardly believe it’s the same block! I do hope you bring home first place and please let us know when you do!

Gorgeous quilting! What was your learning process?
When I first started quilting, I sent out a couple of quilts to some very highly-recommended longarmers. The first one took 11 months and the second (a 31" x 31" wall hanging) still wasn't back after 17 months. I told the second one I wanted it back finished or not. She asked for one more week and finished it. I didn't even like the quilting that they put on it, and I redid some of it on my domestic machine. I decided to learn how to do the quilting myself. I eventually bought a sitdown machine with a 16" harp. That helped alot. I've been at it for about ten years. I actually hate the quilting part, but I'm getting better every year. |
Genius idea and oh, so well executed! You set the bar high for your fair competitors.
