I just finished this quilt for my ex-husband who is starting chemo. He's an avid bass fisherman. This is my first time making a quilt without a pattern. I started with the panel and it evolved from there. Jean from my quilting guild did the quilting. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

It turned out super. Sure that he will love it. What a nice thing to do for him. The top and bottom would make great table runners. Prayers go out to him at this time. BrendaK

If he doesn't love it, my DH would.

Like I told my son about my X husbands illness, because we aren't married anymore doesn't mean they aren't still in our heart. Such a nice quilt.

You must live close to Ocala. We lived in the Orlando area for 50 years. We moved to Statesville in 2009. Let me know when you're going north again. Maybe we can meet for coffee.

Thanks to everyone for their nice comments. It was a challenge to make since the panel was horizontal instead of vertical. It took a while to figure out how to make it longer without just adding borders.

sweetie2693 05-07-2015 06:13 AM

Nice quilt. He will surely love it. Hope everything turns out well and may God bless him.

Love this quilt. You can almost see the fish come right off of the panel. He's going to love this & you are so generous & kind to make this for your EX. Prayers to him for a full recovery.
