I am working on a scrappy. Its taking me forever...ok..one day so far. ; ) I have been doing blocks that I wanted to try and some that I still need practice like pinwheels. Scrappy quilts make wonderful practice quilts.

Looks great to me! Control and scrappy just don't go together at my house! I prefer "just wing it" scrappies!

It's a great start! Don't fret about matching just yet. I made one like this last year and honestly, I hated it right up until I finished binding it - then I fell in love. In the end when you have all that crazy color together, it works. If you need to impose order you can use a set color for either the center strip or the next one (one offset); then you'll have a pattern for the eye to "rest" on when it's done.

It looks like a great start! I have scraps reproducing somehow in several drawers! Maybe I should follow your example.

You a definately on the right track!! I sometimes refer to scrappy and my "grab and sew" projects. It always reminds me when doing a "planned" quilt that it is possible to overthink the fabric choice.

It looks just like a scrappy should look. Love it.
