It's my first one and yes, it's a little wonky. It took me forever to cut the pieces and sew them. Ugh, I want to make an entire quilt of these things!

Looks good!! As you work on them you will get faster and more accurate, because you will know what you have to do and what you should avoid!!

If you learn the half square triangle technique or a flying geese technique, it will go faster, too. I'm sure there are a number of postings related to these two techniques on this forum. If you can't find them, PM me and I will print off the instructions for you. I just started last year quilting and this was one of the first blocks we did in a sampler quilt.

Thanks, I did a google search and found a few other ways of doing these! Hopefully I will get better, I really want to do a Civil War repro using these stars!

Your left side is a little off. That's what's pulling it into "wonky" state. Other than that, you're on to a good start. Like the colors - the quilt will be pretty.
