I'm not a huge fan of batiks either but I like them very much in those fall colours! I love your block choices too - I've never done a sampler which is partly why I signed up to the Pioneer BOM - can't wait til the end of the year when I can assemble the quilt - hope it looks as good as yours!

K. Your quilt will be wonderful as everything else you have done. Those blocks get easier as you go. The Monkey Wrench looked real hard but turned out to be the easiest one!
