I found this on Craig's List. It's in excellent condition and it's just the cabinet, no machine. I've been looking around and often I see a nice cabinet but a not-so-nice machine or vice-versa. Now I can find a machine for it.
It fits perfectly on this little angled wall in my family room. :-D |
Beautiful!

Any singer machine will fit in that cabinet. Not the newer ones and not a featherweight. I have one just like yours...

That's a real beauty! Happy for you. :) :):)
After I moved to Missouri I found (and now own) two treadle machines; they both have the rounded top! :( I'd rather have the flat top like you found; that way I could use the top when the machine is not in use. O, well. those that I got were worth getting and I 'm thankful! Happy that you got such a nice cabinet. I live near Amish country and all the treadles back here are snatched up quickly. The Amish don't use electricity and keep those treadles' busy! Can you imagine? (They are very hard working people and turn out nice quilts and clothes, too.) |
cool cabinet, thanks for sharing with us

Wow.....it looks perfect!

What a beautiful cabinet. You did really well to find this.

I have one exactly like that one except yours looks 300% better than mine. I had to glue it back together when I got it. It's funny you put it in front of an electrical outlet. :-D Great find!

You did real good! I'm sure a nice old machine will be happy to call that home!

I love the look of the round top ones too. I put a plant on top of it (with a cork and laminate plant protector thing) and a quilting book. :)
I can hardly wait to do some sewing on it. |
