Gotta love FIL Tony

We had an unexpected visitor last week. Paul's father Tony shows up from Hawaii. Tony is 83 years old and a real character. While visiting he saw and was shown the quilts I was working on, he strongly hinted he would like a quilt. (OK, he is 83, I cannot take forever to make him a quilt). Since he is from Hawaii, I did not want to make anything too hot. My SIL had told me she had crocheted an afghan but it was too hot for him. So 2 layers of flannel, no batting, minimal machine quilting, no hand quilting, embroidered label. Tribal masks in blue flannel. Will be mailing it to him today. Hope he likes it!! Fast and sweet!! Tony is sitting down! That is my hubby, step-son and grandkids!!
