After waiting another 4 days for missing parts to arrive I was finally able to set it up this weekend. The directions are very clear but it took SEVERAL hours, I didn't keep track but I did it over two days. There are 96 screws just for the 4 poles!

This is the only space I have for it, a spare bedroom, that is almost too small for it. I set it up as a king because I have 3 very large quilts to do. Might have to re-arrange this room so I can put the frame up against the back wall.

One thing that will be nice to have is a small table to set supplies on. I looked at a couple of rolling carts online but man, they were expensive. A cheap end table with a drawer would be fine and could probably put some rolling casters on the legs. I'll keep an eye out for one cheap and/or a thrift shop. I could always paint one that looks bad as long as it is sound.

Good for you. Try a freecycle group in your area for a free table or check craigslist. You can sometimes find good stuff.

Can't wait to see your first quilt done on the frame.

Looks good. So, are guests going to have to crawl under it to use the bed?
What kind of machine are you going to use on it?

pittsburgpam 03-15-2009 08:09 PM

Yes, guests are going to have to crawl under it. That's the price for staying at my house.... along with stray threads on your clothes.

The more I think about it, the more I am considering putting it in a slightly larger spare bedroom. I love the other room and I spent a lot of time and effort decorating it. I live alone in a 5 bedroom house so I have an office, a sewing room, my bedroom, and two spares. There HAS to be some place this will fit better!

I won't be using a machine. Most will probably be tied, some hand quilted if I feel it's worth it for a particularly good one.

I'm so glad you got all your pieces. Now, I don't want to see that frame again unless you have something on it.......................like, a quilt. Wooohoooo, aren't you so happy?
