Been busy...

Gram's Stars:
I can't iron the seams flat in gram's quilts before I quilt them...so far things are working but I'm still so afraid I'm going to damage them.

D9P:
the beginning of a quilt for a dear friend from grade school.. she loves football
and Oklahoma State...Cowboy's Love Dots!

Kansas Troubles:
Helping me get over my fear of triangles and sharp points. Thank God for glue!

Another of my gram's hand pieced beauties

wow! your gramma's quilt is amazing. Lucky you! I don't think I would quilt if I had to hand-piece (and cut those pieces with a template & scissors, to boot!) Your kansas troubles quilt is Perfection.

Just to warn you...Don't hesitate to cut that first seam. LoL. I had trouble convincing myself to cut up a perfectly good block. HaHa! But it all turns out great. I've done 3 or 4 of them. they are like potato chips...

I was thinking that thought the other day...about how I was moving up to be the "older" generation in my family...I'm not ready yet! I still have all the girly thoughts and feelings...did my gram and mom feel this way?? And somewhere I hit my "peak"...I think I missed it...BwaHaHaHaHa!

plainpat 10-20-2010 07:10 AM

I was definetly out to lunch when I peaked, but I waved as it passed by :-D :-D

dp9 nearly blinded me....lol but let me assure you that I think they're all beautiful !

clem55 10-20-2010 03:39 PM

they are beautiful! and this thread just made me realize I am now the family matriarch . OMG!!!! and at 71 I still think like I am 25, but feel like 80 at times. Funny how those years jump up suddenly. But I have loved them all! Not sure when I peaked, so it must not have been a big deal. LOL

mequilter 10-20-2010 03:42 PM

Just love all of them, but your grandmother's quilt is my favorite. What a treasure to have!
