I'm assuming you'd alternate these dark and light diamonds? If so, that's what I did with the quilt in my avatar- I'm really pleased with how it looks, there are some cool secondary designs in there, and it has a lot of movement. Great color choice, look forward to seeing it finished!

Beautiful. I have fabric purchased for one like yours...blacks with a little white and whites with a little black. In my head I could envision it, but so often my vision doen't match the actual quilt :) Seeing your lovely quilt gives me confidence BTW I love the layout
