My DGS is in preschool so I made him a backpack using the new super hero material. He went to see the Captain America movie for his 4th BD. Now he is begging for a new quilt using this material. So I need a pattern suggestion for an easy quilt that could use some of the large print material that you see on the Backpack flap.

I'd go for simple. Just get a yard and half, cut a big rectangle, like 36X42, then add borders in coordinating colors. Quilt with a simple meander. He's 4. This might be the beginning of a long love of these super heros, or, next year, he might be into transformers and that intricate super hero quilt you made will be stuffed in a closet!

on july 4th on this quilting board there was a quilt called ( a hunters dream ) , i think you could use the large print whre they have the panel , and use your small print in other areas of the quilt , i think this would work for you , if you dont have this one from july 4th , pm me and give me your e-mail , i'll get it to you ,

oh, is that ever cool....My boys would loooove it. as for a quilt design....go to my profile page look up my topics and go to my sons airforce quilt...it has larger blocks, it's easy and it was a boys quilt pattern from a thimble berries book.

Turning 20 would be quick and easy and cute.

Darling backpack.

I do quilts for my son that use two yards of fabric in the center with a 1" border and an 8" border. They are simple and show off that center fabric beautifully

I agree with Paper Princess.

Awesome backpack. I can't wait to see your quilt. I agree, make it simple, big squares, one border, done. He will love it because you made it special for him.
