I'm making my Mom a quilt. As you can see it's going to be a scrappy sampler. I've only done a lap quilt before, so wish me luck. I figure that if I post pictures along the way, it will keep me on track and I can get some help if I get stuck.

Great blocks! Have you considered doing a Quilt as You Go? It might be easier for you for your first large quilt.

Well done. I'm sure she will love it. I started off with a lap quilt, and not onto bedsized quilts. Don't seem to go back to working on lap quilts now... hooked on larger projects. Can't wait to see you finished quilt. Happy quilting.

As you may have noticed, I have started with the BOM 2009 Pioneer Sampler that was done here. I won't do all of the blocks but that is the inspritation. Next up, hopefully tonight, is Parrie Queen.

I remember the first quilt I made which was many "eons" ago. LOL. I was so proud of it. (I should say, I pieced it. My mother quilted it for me). Keep posting and we can all enjoy your work with you. |
