I just pinned my first queen quilt on my dining room floor - what the heck, the floor needed mopping anyway, right? After crawling around this thing for about an hour on the tile floor I wondered if I could ever get up or walk again! Thank goodness I don't have to do that all the time! Poor dog was locked in her cage the whole time wondering what she did wrong!

We have a high top table and I was able to move the kitchen table against the bar and lay out a good sized quilt top. Worked fine. I used clamps from the garage to secure the top of the quilt to the edge of table top.

Good for you. I did one on the floor once and never again! I will use my Joanne's table and do it in portions now and for me, it works fine.

At our church or senior center they have lots of big tables. We have taken our quilts there and they were happy to let us use them for basting or pining. When we have our quilt gathering at the senior center,(Mature Adult Center) they don't like it to be called a senior center. Whoever needs they quilt pinned has to bring donuts. We do this quite often...
