Do you ever have one of those days you just need to sew something easy? I had a couple yards of this kona clover with nothing to use it for .. reminds me of St. Patricks day .. anyway these squares are from some out of print favorites of mine and other random prints I like. I am going to make the backing from prints and solids too - it will be a double sided lap quilt.

I think it will look great.

Thank you :-) Its so plain (and green) I better make the quilting nice!

This is wonderful. Yes, there are days it is great just to sew and have this lovely type of quilt come out of it. Nice job. Thank you for sharing.
That's really nice
I really like this! These are the quilts my children and grandchildren love the best. Cuddly and bright. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you everyone for the kind feedback ;-)

I think you did a wonderful job on the quilt. I don't feel it to look plain at all. All the different colors makes it come alive.

Very pretty!!!
Very pretty. Makes me wonder why I didnīt think of doing that when I wanted to sew something easy! Thanks for the inspiration!
I like it!!
very cute love the green
Looks great! Now all that "favorite" fabric isn't hidden away.
I love your quilt. It is my favourite colour too and all the prints just seem to want to play together. Will look great when it's quilted
Bright and beautiful!
I think sometimes you just need to sit down....and work on something easy.....it clears the brain and you just feel so good....and the quilt top turned out very good too! I love that shade of green.
Hey Yolanda!! I think it looks great! Glad you're having fun with it.
I haven't seen you here lately :) |
A great way to showcase your favorite fabrics! :)
well the picture didn't show up for me
I love green and simple! Most of my days I need something simple to sew. Too many times I've tried sewing a little here and a little there only to find that I didn't sew the same way each time and nothing fit.
Scrap quilts are my favorite. This would be a good pattern for the lap quilts I make for hospice patients. Simple to sew, but dramatic.
Very Nice, I'd love to know how to make that?? Any suggestions or tips?? I'm STILL a NEWBEE!
You did a very nice job! It came out very bright and cheery! I like it! :)
You did a great job on this
You all are so kind I am blushing.... thank you for the compliments on my 'lil green quilt ;-)
It's easy peasy --- I used some 5" squares I had and then 2" strips for the green ... I sewed a 2x5" green strip inbetween all sqaures and made rows and then sewed those rows together --- then for the outter border I used 6.5" green strips. Did that make sense?
