I have a wedding shower coming up so I made four grocery bags for the bride-to-be. She is a dog lover so had to throw some of that fabric in  They are all lined with the black and white dots. I hope she will like them!

Aw, they are great!
That is a great idea!!!! I always manage to forget mine, maybe I should just leave them in the trunk!
Those are awesome! I have some of the store bought ones...they are not as nice as yours...but I try to use them most of the time. :) Maybe if I made some like that, I'd want to show them off and bring them all the time.

Very nice! I love handmade items that are extremely practical (and very cute in this case :-D )!
Very nice!! I've made a number of bags a similar style.
So nice and earth-friendly. She should love them.
Whats not to like :-P

Imagine the complements she will get when shopping! You did a marvelous job and such cute fabrics!

May I ask if you used a pattern for these. Would you care to share the pattern or link? These are very nice and I think I really have to make some.
What a great idea!! Never would have thought of those for a wedding present but it is sensible and usable. I like that!!

I used this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0 The first one came out a little shorter than I wanted. It takes a bit more fabric than I thought to do the french seam on the bottom so I cut the other 3 a little longer. |
And the wonderful thing is, they can be used for lots of other things besides groceries.
I got a huge bag of upholstry remnants and have been making all shapes and sizes of tote bags, from just big enough for a wallet, cell phone and keys to giant size that can be used for clothes for weekend travel, some with pockets, some without, some lined, some not. |
Your bags are very cute nice gift. But i have to say love your Doodles.
Thanks for the link.
They are great, she will appreciate them.
