As vice-president, I had to present a quilt for the out going President of our guild. Here is a picture of it. I know it is bright, but that is what she likes. I had the members each make a block.

Thanks everyone, I was going to give it to her at our Christmas party but she was sick! it is sitting in my livingroom and I keep looking at it. I do have it in a big gift bag, but i keep pulling it out.

The group did a fantastic job on it. She must have been very pleased to have such a nice gift.

What a lovely gift for your president. Our guild board members usually just make squares for our outgoing president. A finished quilt is so nice.

I know alot guilds just make blocks, but we have always done the whole thing. It's the Vice Pres. job to get it underway,so that was me. I just had a member quilt it and I had help with piecing. There is talk about doing blocks in the future,just hope it is after I'm President! My term starts in Jan.

What a happy quilt!! I'm not a brights fan either, but this one has enough of the background fabric to make it darling. One question: was the fabric given out to each member, were the fabrics made when the group was together, or WHAT? It looks like the same fabrics are used throughout. Very nice!

She is going to treasure this quilt and remember all the fun the guild had while she was president. Great job.

I picked out the fabrics, cut ,put them in a bag with a pattern print out from Quilters cache and passed them out at a meeting. It worked out great, if I would have told everyone to use brights, it probably would have been a mess. The chain was made from the left overs.

I love the bright colors. She is going to be thrilled that everyone pitched in.

I love it, and I know she will, too!
