Gypsy Wife - a few blocks

This is a good stash raider pattern, too! I decided on a more subtle color-way.
First is the Pershing block - using the PP template mine was 1/2 too small! So I added a 1/4" border around it. The 2nd is the blocks from Section 1. Fun to do and glad I'm using a paper piecing method! |

They look great. Did you turn the 1st one into a hot pad since it was too small?

Great job on your blocks.

What are the sizes....great looking......this pattern seems like the greatest scrap buster.....so tempted to just make one of whatever kind of block, whatever size, then put together however, using whatever......and a quilt is born!
|
Looks like you are getting a great start! :)
|
Coming along great.
|
Blocks are 3.0" up t0 10.5" finished and almost all strips are 1".
|

Nice quilt blocks.

Kitsie, I just bought this pattern and see you have started several threads on your process. Thanks so much for sharing your blocks, etc. I am trying to figure out what colors/fabrics to use. I just showed my 16 yo GD the pattern and her comment was..."there's a lot going on there". I agree, and I don't want mine to be all over the place either.
|
I like the top block a lot, Kitsie. On to the next...:o
