I took a cue from a fellow board member (IraJane) and graphed a jack ' o lantern then used the mini, mini twister tool to make this little Halloween treat. Even knowing there would be shrinkage from the first step to the final piece I was surprised. Really surprised! One suggestion for others who
may use the mini twister - press all seams open, it really reduces bulk in these 1" squares. The border has prairie points that point inward rather than like the traditional outward pointing ones. The models are my grands - Gabriel is the 4yo with red hair, Elliott is the 18mo old with blond hair. I fondly call them Tootsie Roll and Jelly Bean. I also finally have an avatar - it is my hand appliqued Vintage Valentine. It is not yet quilted because I can't decide on whether to hand or machine quilt it. |
Beautiful.

Such wonderful models you have there! I love the twister, too.

Thanks for the compliments, but, no, I will not be doing placemats! Too labor intensive and I would strangle the first person who spilled something on them!

Can I take a picture of the graph and have my son post it like a photo? Will that work? If so I would be glad to share.

I took two snaps of my Jack-'o-Lantern graph and all you can see is the black sqaures representing the facial features. Will see my sister tomorrow (she is the photographer!) and maybe she can offer some advice. Hangin there, I'll get it to you.

Thanks sorry you have to go thru all this trouble.

Don't fret. Really, I should make the effort to come out of the Dark Ages and learn how to take pics and post them!
