Hancock shopping

I had to go through Chattanooga yesterday so decided to stop and see if there was anything left at their store. Their selection of quilting cotton was pretty small, though I did manage to find several things. They had a TON of fleece. I briefly considered buying some white to use as batting, because it was $3/yard, but ended up passing on that idea. They had four colors of "dotty," so I bought some to use on the back of baby quilts. I also bought some Frozen fleece thinking I could use it for Emmaline somehow.

They had a great selection of flannel, but I only bought two yards of "Sophia the First" because Emmaline likes her too. Somehow there was one lone ruler for $7 so I bought it, thinking I might donate it or give it as a gift. It's an Omnigrid 12 by 6.

I've been collecting a lot of solids lately, and they had a few colors, so I bought three yards each of four colors. I also found a back for a long-term quilt I'm working on that will use fabric that looks like 60's. In all I bought the ruler and 73 yards of fabric for $246, so that averages $3.40/yard. I thought that was pretty good.

I just bought the Accuquilt Go on clearance at our local store. BTW I have at least two of the fabrics you have pictured.

Those are certainly excellent prices.

It looks to me that you have an extremely successful trip.

It was fun to go to the sale at hancocks. I went three different times and got many yards of cotton fabric too. If you bought the rest of the bolt it was 75 to 95 percent off. I got two beautiful woolen blends for a song!

The sad part is, that was my favorite general fabric store to shop at. I will surely miss them.

Lot of fabric to add to your stash. Good job.

Wow! You did great! I stopped in OLD TOWN SPRING on my way back from Houston last week and they were having a big clearance sale in the back building. I thought I would find some not too pretty fabrics, but there was so much I wanted I really had to curb my purchasing. They required you to buy at least a yard, but that was not hard to do! Their prices went from $1.99/yd to $6.99/yd and boy did I love it...I think I got 6 different pieces and various yardage and spent maybe $60. Was quite a find and enjoyed the detour immensely. Though it delayed my time getting home, it didn't bother me at all, and I really didn't need to add to my already huge stash, but that didn't stop me either! Do you think I have an addiction?? Wonder if there is a cure for that??!! LOL
