I love your hand quilting and I also love machine quilting. I dont think that anyone (especially quilters) dont appreciate all the work that goes into hand quilting (sorry bad grammer but Im tired). Just the opposite. We are in awe. I do have to say that machine quilters, longarmers also are artists and also put alot of work into their quilts. I see alot of hand quilted quilts at shows. We have one coming up next month in the city I live in. I will try to keep track of the HQ ones. Should be interesting. HAPPY QUILTING

You are an artist......each and every item you posted are heirlooms. You are most talented!

Oh my, lovely work.

Your work is breathtaking! I still do some hand quilting, but I sure don't do it like you do! I agree with you--whenever I see hand quilted quilts at shows I get really excited! The machine quilting that's so prevalent is almost like another form of art. Although I must say that if hand quilters of old had had the technology we have today, I think they would have been happy to use it!

Your quilting is gorgeous!

Your work is beautiful. I appreciate it, but I don't know how to hand quilt and love to finish my projects fast so I can move along to the next one.

Your work is lovely. I like machine quilting for quilts that are going to be used. I had my families quilts long arm quilted because i know they'd never want the care of a hand quilted quilt. Personaly I thinik hand quilting is much more personal. I just finished a double one for my guest room bed. Hand quilting makes it your own. You design it and there's not another one just like it.

I love your work-It is awesome-I also handquilt & have to have a quilt in my lap to work on but I just purchased a mid arm just so I can do more quilts as I feel I am running out of life time to do everything I want to!! But handquilting is my first love!

Well I love your work and pulled more than a few to my desktop to look at again!
I do only hand quilting because I can't afford to buy a machine quilting machine...I tried it on my sewing machine with terrible results! Plus I like being able to take mine with me everywhere to keep hands from being idle. I also discovered that when I quilt, my hands hurt less than when I do nothing. Weird! If I keep practicing, maybe someday my work will look as good as yours! I do agree with someone else's comment about how the quilt will be used as to what kind of quilting you do. Mine may not be heirlooms, but folks better realize they won't get many at this rate! So I told my daughter she could NOT sit on her quilt for hours at a time. Under is OK; on top is not! :) |
well there is some of us still around i piece mine by hand and i hand quilt also yours are gorgeous thanks for sharing
