Handbag

I saw this cute bag on YouTube and decided to use some scraps to try it. I changed the size and did it all sewing rather then the glue gun as in the video. The YouTube video original is at DIY Most Popular Design Handbag Tutorial.

I was also hoping to use up some of the bias seam binding I picked up at the charity shop but I still have a bit left.:D

Oooh! That is really pretty! I think I saw that video but was turned off by the thought of using a glue gun. I think I'll go back and take another look. I love how your bag turned out!

Your bag came out really nice. I love to make bags so I'll have to look this one up. Are the bias parts pockets?

That's a great looking bag!! Well done.

Nice bag. I love all the pockets.

Now, if you make 20 more you'll have used up all that seam binding. :D

Great job! It is lovely! I saw the video as well and was quite surprised that hot glue was used.

The bias parts are pockets if you top stitch along the tape (where the yellow flower pin is)The video is quite easy to do all sewing if instead of turning the bottom box edges out and hot gluing, you turn the bag inside out and sew the box bottom from the inside.

I love that design! The curved pockets just add a visual zing to the bag! I have yet to make a bag, but it's on my bucket list.
