Have been having a relaxing weekend working on EPP. Here's the start of my grandmother's flower garden and the first 3 of my new hexagon blocks.

You've done good so far. Your grandmother FG is going to be beautiful. Love the way you done the red & blue hexagon.

Evie 05-08-2016 10:02 PM

I like your lovely starts. I'm also working on some hexies, but not sure I'll go all the way to a GFG.

Jane Quilter 05-09-2016 12:18 AM

I have never seen a green "garden path" where one of the hexes is missing, Is this you original idea or have you seen this before?

twinkie 05-09-2016 02:55 AM

Very nice work. Are you going to place the hexie blocks within the flower garden?

jmoore 05-09-2016 03:09 AM

Fun... It looks addictive.

nls 05-09-2016 03:16 AM

Very pretty start on your project!

faykilgore 05-09-2016 04:38 AM

I want to do a GFG but not right now. Yours is turning out lovely!

callen 05-09-2016 06:53 AM

They look terrific. Off to a good start.

maviskw 05-09-2016 07:14 AM

Both patterns are lovely. I love it when things are put together "a little differently", as in the GFG. The green gets to be the background.

bibi 05-09-2016 07:43 AM

Very nice enjoy the process.

rryder 05-09-2016 08:56 AM

Great start on GFG and the new hexie blocks! Looking forward to seeing more.

Great start to gfg.....btw paperpieces.com has the set of acrylic templates for that book...the new hexagon.....there are 32 templates for $99, but they are offering 25% discount this month...so I ordered the set...I have many of their templates for epp projects. Like your first few.....anxious to start mine...I'm thinking of doing Katjas version of millefiore

tessagin 05-09-2016 02:00 PM

I am also doing her Millefiore, working on both, my goal is at least one block a day for each which is not hard to do at night while watching tv.
