This is my version of Happy Daisies. What color border would you suggest for the quilt? White?? Blue???

virtualbernie 09-11-2010 06:06 PM

Not good with design decisions--just wanted to tell you how nice your quilt is! I love these Happy Daisies quilts!

I love your quilt. The colors are nice and bright. Good job. White or blue border would look nice.

Wasn't it fun to make?

I really like this quilt - it makes me smile. Whatever you choose will be great, but my opinion is border in yellow (the color of the flower centers) followed by either the purple or green. Fantastic quilt - did I mention I really like it!

I would do a a four patch or piano keys border with the clors of the center.

I would use the red and yellow and really make it pop. but then red is 1 of my fav colours

Hi I love your quilt. It is happy looking.Maybe if you have the frist border the color of the centre of the flower and than another border blue.

I like to end up with a darker color for the final border and binding to "frame" the quilt.

Love the bright colors, they are so happy. I think a small white border with rectangles of all the colors for the outer border, and white binding.

fuail 09-11-2010 07:26 PM

Very nice! How about the yellow center color, then white, then the green stem color?

Candace 09-11-2010 09:21 PM

I would use the white as the border and navy blue as the binding. Very cute.

That's such a pretty quilt! I don't have advice on borders. Would have to see them.
I love it :D

This is what I was thinking too. It is very beautiful.

sjhughson 09-12-2010 05:48 AM

Yes, I like the idea of a muticolored border after a solid maybe the yellow or white and then a solid binding color.

I agree with piano key border - Would really make it *pop*.

Beuatiful work.
Are these hard to make?

SueDor 09-12-2010 06:17 AM

How about a green if you have it.

Mariposa 09-12-2010 06:33 AM

A thin border in yellow white, followed by blue or purple would be nice. Or try a piano key border~

Lynneander 09-12-2010 06:46 AM

What a lovely design! I would add a border the same color as the center of the flower and then follow it with a border of blue.

donnajean 09-12-2010 07:19 AM

I see a small inner border of yellow because there is no yellow touching outside edges of blocks. And then, one of the darker colors - like green - for outer border. I like green as it goes with all flowers.

Thats exactly what I was thinking with the narrow yellow border first, will make it pop and then frame with green for the outer border and the binding. Would be a nice finish to a gorgeous and happy-looking quilt!

Very cute!

Maybe something like this, using the colors in the center of the quilt?
