I can relate!! I have to move a 6-1/2 pound bird every time I need to reposition the quilt I'm working on!! :-)

My son came over the other day, and asked me to do some quick hemming. He asked me why I was sitting "weird" at the machine--I had my chair pulled out so that I had to lean forward, and I was holding my arms up.

Apparently, I have gotten very used to sewing with a cat in my lap, lol.

What a little darling! What would we do without our helpers in the sewing room.

Well, I'm very allergic to cat hair, but every time I go to someone's house who has a cat, I sit down, put my
purse on the floor, and guess who gets into my purse. Yep, her cat!

My dog has a bed under my sewing cabinet but the cat uses it too. Sometimes it's a race to see who gets to it first. My cat prefers to sleep in a basket that holds batting remnants but I don't let her so she lays on the shelf beside it.
