Here's the Harley wallhanging quilt I made for my BIL for christmas.
It measures 28 x 40 I found Harley sheet fabric on eBay I used a fusible applique from StenSource which I got on clearance when I was finding the bunny a few years back. :) :) :) I had it long armed in flames with verigated thread (I'm still in the practicing stage & don't trust me yet) This is the 1st time I machine sewed the binding down (arthritis in thumbs   :cry It worked out well. :) :) :) . NO more hand sewing binding again :D :D :D :D |

That is one awesome quilt! What's the secret to not hand-sewing the binding? I see triangles on the backing...that is for hanging? How do you do that?
I'm getting ready to bind a quilt and put a hanger on, so that's why I'm asking. :D Beautiful work! |
You did an awesome job desiging and stitiching this quilt!!! Perfect choice for quilting, too!! Your BIL is going to flip when he sees this quilt :D :D :D

I'm getting ready to bind a quilt and put a hanger on, so that's why I'm asking. :D Beautiful work! I sewed the binding to the front 1st. I made triangles for the hanging pockets large enough to support the quilt for hanging with a dowel rod. Then sewed them to the back. Then I folded the binding to the back & glued it with Fabri-Tac (WOW is that strong stuff). Then sewed from the front with a decorative stitch. |
It's a knockout....great work - you should really be proud of this one.
