Its a Windsor made by Montgomery Wards .... it was trying to compete with singer .... well I took my first radiation treatment on Tuesday and after the hubby wanted to ride for a while so went antiqueing (may favorite road trips) and we found SIL in the small town of Hobart Ok. and we brought her home. My sister in law is going to refinish her cabinet and well Im gonna clean her up and give her a whirl on the quilting train ...... ha ha ha ....... I simply love this machine and she works good free wheeling .... she made my week ...can hardly wait to get her going needless to say my hubby is great too

I named her SIL for my sister in law

Great find!

Is it a 3/4 size machine? It looks very much like my 1928 Leader made by National. Apparently only National put the little access panel on the front of the machine.

SIL is a beauty! And the cabinet will be beautiful too when it is all done! Happy sewing! Hope you are feeling much better too!

Miss Brenda is beautiful in her new clothes and hairdo. What a Cinderella story. How long did it take your SIL to restore Brenda?

Because she only does it in her spare time and she lives in Texas it took her about a year to get her home to me ... my SIL and bro are in the process of moving their business and home too .so that factored in ... but she is so pretty ... I just love her ...........

Hello Robin - What a fabulous machine! Your sister in law is a gem - she has done a grand job. If I lived down the road from you I would be straight round your house for a treadling session with you... and a good chat with you and your husband, tea, cakes... Make yourself a cup of tea now and imagine me there in spirit....

Blinkokr 03-31-2012 04:32 AM

Have a Blessed day
