Have Quilt Will Travel Part 2
1 Attachment(s)
I posted a photo of my friend Jane putting the border on this quilt while on a layover at the airport. You all wanted to see the entire quilt. Here it is. The name of the design is Red Apple Lane and the designer is Pat Sloan. It is made with the fusible web applique' method. The fabric used is Pat's new fabric line from Moda and the thread chosed to quilt with is Aurifil 40 wt. thread. By the way, Jane made the top and my cousin Lori Marvel quilted it. The person holding the quilt up is my son David. Isn't he so handsome? (wink)

Your son is very cute! I especially like his very long "eye" lashes lmao |
That is just beautiful! She did such a great job on all the applique's, and I love all the added applique groups around the center block. Thanks for posting the finished quilt!

Maybe I'm blind, but I see no live person. I see 2 feet and that's all.

This is spectacular! I love Pat Sloan's stuff (& didn't even know she had a new line for Moda! You learn something new every day... LOL!) & this is an excellent example of her patterns. Wow! Your friend should be so proud of herself! Kudos! And p. s: a shout out to the handsome quilt holder, too... LOL!

A good name for this stunning quilt? "A Movable Feast".
|
Oh I am so happy I finally got to post the full pix. What I love about this design is you can make the blocks individually. I for sure am going to make the bike block! There are 9 blocks all together. Word on the street is the patterns will be available at the end of June. Waiting is the hardest part.
