I was given an 8" canvas by the Art Council to make an "art piece" for their fund raiser. This morning there was a story on the local news on how to take Fall photos. One they did was of two leaves that had high contrast. I immediately went outside and found three leaves of high contrast. I put them on a the deck and took my photo. Tonight I sat and quilted the photo that I had printed on fabric. The binding frames it and wraps around the side of the canvas.
I used transparent thread to quilt the photo. The quilting makes the board look really rough. The leaves are lightly quilted, only the veins so that they will puff.
I am thrilled with it.
