My grandfather made this quilt frame for my grandmother years ago. He died in 1972, so it's at least 40 years old. I don't remember seeing my grandmother use it, but my mom used it quite a bit. I just thought since everyone is showing their vintage machines, you'd be interested in seeing my quilt frame.

I added the cross pieces because those have been lost. They are just 2 x 2 inch pieces of wood.

I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen one like this?

I haven't seen one like this before. I have taken the liberty of bookmarking. My husband is primarily a metalworker, but I reckon he could make one for me. Your Grandfather's design is simple but effective. Very cool - thanks for sharing your vintage treasure.
