Thought about buying one. Like you I didn't know anyone that had purchased though.

I have the one by Grace that is a straight sharpener. You don't have to take the blade out. I use it before and during a project. So fast and easy.

I would like to know if they work also.

I purchased this recently and I like it.
You won't get "new" sharpness on the blades, but it does give them a nice edge and it seems to be extending the life of the blades. I haven't tried this on extremely old or nicked blades yet. I first tried it on a blade that was getting dull and after about 30 seconds, it cut very nicely.

The one complaint I have is that it is L-O-U-D!!! I mean, really LOUD! This is louder than my vacuum cleaner. But, it generally takes less than a minute to sharpen.

I believe PatriceJ has also mentioned having one. Maybe she will chime in on how it works for her.

With a $59 price wouldn't it be better just to buy blades?

With the price of blades these days - I'd be happy to be able to "touch them up" once in a while. If the price is really $59 - and it works well - that's only a little more than two (5) packs of blades in my neck of the woods. I'm looking forward to hearing more about y'all's experience with it.

you can buy a lot of new blades from harbor freight for $59. personally don't like any blade sharpeners.

I have one, and finally used it, it seemed to work fine for me....

I have a manual sharpener and use it pretty regularly. It sharpens only one size blade, which is limiting. I sharpen a blade only once or twice then toss. But I didn't pay so much for my sharpener.
