Hawaiian Diamond

This quilt was inspired by Jan Krantz Craftsy class. When we were in Hawaii and my daughter was helping me pick out the fabric, she had no idea I would cut it all up and then put it back together again! 😄

You did a fabulous job of cutting it all out and putting it back together again.

You did an excellent job on that. One has to look closely to see where you pieced it.

Very pretty. The diamond quilting really adds depth to the fabric theme..makes it look like fish are actually swimming through the water.

Your quilt is awesome. I would love to take one of her classes. Will definitely have to take a look at her class schedules.

I see and understand the water and underwater portion, and the land part, but please tell me, what are the orange things by the land? Could they be beach umbrellas? PS, a very interesting and well done quilt.

It's amazing how some people can pick out a minute detail that others might not notice - some shell fish are smaller than that but pink spotted! Beautifully reconstructed fabric, I thought it was a panel?

I agree. You did a terrific job recreating the fabric you bought.

The fabric that had the land had hibiscus flowers that were not to scale with the land. I used around 8 - 10 different fabrics in this design, and this was the best land I could find. :o

I really like the way you pieced the fabrics together! Beautiful job!
